Synergy Awareness Outreach Program

Another aspect of our firm is our interest in reaching out to the community, other charities and foundations, as well as through our own foundation. We do this through what we refer to as our Synergy Awareness Program. Whether it be helping sponsor a Christmas for underprivileged children who would not otherwise enjoy this season, by accepting invitations to sponsor, create, and lead charity bike rides, or through our own Road to Thunder -  The Journey Home foundation supporting Veteran's issues and causes. We all work very hard in our communities, and as it has been said before, it feels even better to be able to give back to your community and your nation.

2007 - 2009

After being asked to lead a handpicked group of Veteran's to Washington DC in the Capitol to Capitol Ride Across America in 2007 and 2009, raising awareness for Veteran's causes, I was convinced to conceive the " Road to Thunder - Journey Home Foundation " to continue this legacy and message. Coming from a long line of military in my family to visiting with many Veteran's in V.A. hospitals across this great nation these last few years as we ride to raise awareness across this great nation, I am just another who feels the need to shed more light on the treatment and conditions of our Veterans who fought, and continue to stand up for our country's freedom!  www.amazon.com/Road-Thunder-Rich-Todd/dp/B004FG4326

In 2010,

Being reached out to again this year, we agreed, through our Synergy Awareness Program, to help sponsor an annual Christmas Evening for underprivileged children in Sacramento, California. Here, over 40 volunteers shared with over 100 children and their families a fantastic Holiday evening including a wonderful dinner, entertainment, music, Christmas card stations, and, of course, Santa Claus with presents. A very important annual event to us!

In 2011,

We continue to participate and sponsor on the committee for National Child Abuse Prevention Month for California State. A very humbling role, through Synergy Wealth Management and the " Road to Thunder Journey Home Foundation " we also create and lead the ride this year raising funds for abused and neglected children and participate in a day long children's awareness program, beginning with luncheon recognizing our participants and those in need, followed by an awareness ride and fundraiser, ending each year with a wonderful gala dinner to show appreciation for all of those involved.

2012,

At the American Legion Convention in June, I was asked and proudly accepted positions to the Finance Committee, Ways and Means Committee, Assistant Sergeant at Arms, and agreed to assist on the Legislative Committee for the Sons of the American Legion at the State level for the upcoming terms, in an effort to continue to represent and promote the qualities and efforts of American Legion Family.

And 2015,

In July of 2015, Sierra Services for the Blind has their biggest fund raiser for the year, which is an annual golf tournament.  Steve participated in the golf tournament and helped raise money for the good cause.  Also in July, Mr. Schisler was asked to, and became a board member for the Sierra Services for the Blind.  Their second biggest fundraiser of the year is the Annual Mexican Dinner event, which Steve also helped raise funds for and even helped put plates together for their biggest attendance ever.
